Finished! (well, almost)

I’m signed off from psychiatry! Hurrah! My consultant signed off my logbook and my ‘professional behaviours and attitudes’ form (an actual form to be ticked for attendance, behaviour and appropriate dress – no joke, that’s one of the boxes…). So I’m technically finished at clinical placement, yet still going in tomorrow. That screams commitment, don’t you think?!

Currently listening to: a personal playlist entitled ‘Christmas Favourites’. Its hitting the spot I tell you.

Ah we have the appropriate dressing thing too. It's become quite the subject here actually...
Yay for no more psych! What's your next placement? And how long are they again, I dont remember.

CRU is next, standing for cardio renal urology. We're supposedly fittingthat in 6 weeks...

Ummm at least you have renal. Fun, but lots of stuff to know. 6 weeks is really short for 3 specialties. Here it's usually 8 weeks (sometimes 4) for one specialty...
good luck with cardio *turns green*

I love getting evaluated for my style of dress.

I wonder if I should move to wearing a tux in clinic. That should improve my evaluations enough, that I could let my clinical skills slide without negative effect.

Marvellous idea. I think it would do wonders for your patient interactions as well - who doesnt want a dr in a tux?!

your patients will fall in love with you if you wear a tux hehehe.

We could wear jeans at the hospital I was at this summer ;) I tried not to do that often, but I have to say it happened twice (in 8 wks, not too bad). It was rather in clinic (not at the hosp) and the dr I was with wore jeans every single day (and disney t-shirts...). The average of his patients was like 25yrs old, with lots of kids... but still, he wouldn't have passed his evaluation for how he dressed :-P
